Group Overview

Late Dr Abdul Khaleque Bhuiyan started bicycle and parts trading business during the late 1960’s. In early 1970’s he started manufacturing bicycle spoke. Gradually he established a strong position in the Bangladesh bicycle and parts market. His eldest son Mr. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan took charge of the business when he passed away in 1986. After 2/3 years of consolidation, he expanded and diversified the business.

“Meghna Group” is now a leading business conglomerate in Bangladesh. We produce and export state of the art bikes – made of both alloy and steel.

We are specialized in Freestyle bike both steel & Alloy.

We export our bikes to UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Canada etc.We always focus on the quality. Therefore, to meet, our demand for our bike export and also the need for the huge local demand of bicycle and try-cycle parts we have set up production plant for a no of bicycle parts and components over the years. We have an Aluminium extrusion factory to fulfill our aluminium profile, bar and pipe needs for our alloy bikes.The group focused to diversify the business since 1996 and invested in projects not related to bicycle. Those are: a. White Cementb. Table Fanc. Electric Irond. Corrugated Board & BoxIn 2005 we have undertaken a new state of the art 100% complaint Composite Knitting project. This will be 100% export oriented and fully compliant.
We are actively involved in Bangladesh automobile market since 1996. Our companies represent premium brands like BMW and Porsche in Bangladesh. We are also the sole agent of KIA Motors of Korea.
The group has 2(two) trading units. We are the sole distributor of famous international brands. These include BIC of France, Phoenix Bicycle of China and Inco-Europe of UK etc.
In addition to this Meghna Group has business involvement in leading private sector bank- The Prime Bank Ltd., Phoenix Leasing Ltd. and Cosmopoliton Medical College & Hospitals Ltd.
